Neleni handbags are elegantly designed to be unique, innovative, luxurious, and free-spirited. We treasure the interconnectedness of all life and never use exotic skins or hurt lovely animals for our fashion enthusiasm. We also do not use faux leather for our products since they are made from polyurethane (PU) or PVC which are toxic and harmful to the environment and human health. These chemically derived substitutes are not biodegradable, leaving a greater environmental impact on mother earth and upset the delicate balance of ecosystems. We use high quality genuine leathers that are byproducts of meat industry.
Elena Bourbour is the designer behind the Neleni Brand. She earned her PhD degree in Civil & Environmental Engineering from the University of New Orleans in Louisiana. She was honored to be nominated as finalist in the Independent Handbag Designer Award (IHDA) in New York in 2018.
